Four faculty members have been honored for their excellence in teaching, 研究, commitment to the humanities and distinguished service to the campus. The recognition and presentation of the annual 教师奖 took place in conjunction with the winter Board of Trustees annual dinner, in Wickham Great Hall on Thursday, 2月. 15.
Huge congratulations to this year’s award recipients:
• Dr. Pam Faber, Professor of 生物学 – the Ream-Paradiso Distinguished Teaching Award
• Dr. David Hogan, Professor of 历史 – the Jane Frost Kalnow Professor in the Humanities
• Dr. 莎拉Lazzari, Assistant Professor of 犯罪学 and 社会学 – the Distinguished Scholarship/研究 Award for 教师
• Dr. Traci Stark, Professor of 心理学 – the 教师 Distinguished Service Award
At the awards dinner, each award recipient shared remarks, advice and appreciation for teaching, 研究 and service to students.
Three of this year’s award winners are multiple recipients. 以前, Pam received the 教师 Distinguished Service Award (2021-22) and the Innovative Teaching Award (2014-15). David won the Jane Frost Kalnow Professor in the Humanities Award (2014-16) and the Distinguished Scholarship/研究 Award for 教师 (2004-05). Traci received the Jane Frost Kalnow Professor in the Humanities Award (2019-21).
The dinner was hosted this year by Board Chair Kathy Geier. President Rob Huntington welcomed faculty and guests and Chaplain Katie Snitker provided the invocation. Following his opening remarks, Provost Bryan Smith presented the awards.
The year was the 25th that the Distinguished Scholarship/研究 Award for 教师 has been presented. 已故的博士. David Baker (1998-99) was the first recipient. The Ream-Paradiso Teaching Award was first presented in 1996. This is the 23nd year for the Frost-Kalnow Professorship and the sixth year the Distinguished Service Award has been presented.
